Fundraising for Cambodia

Fundraising for CambodiaLiam (my son) is heading over to Cambodia to build homes for some of the poorest Cambodian families later in 2012. These families have typically been in the Tabitha savings program for 4-5 years in order to reach their dream of ‘graduating from poverty’. As part of this savings program, each family has saved and will contribute US$30 towards the cost of the new house and land package. Our team is fundraising to pay for the remaining $1500 per house. When we arrive, under the supervision of local staff, we will build 18 houses (our aim) and present them to the respective families at the end of the day.

It would be awesome if you could donate any amount of money to help us out. We have a lot of money to raise and every cent counts. This website will take you to last year’s Facebook page, which will give you an indication of what is involved. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cambodia-2011/174654429275039?

Alternatively you can go straight to our fund-raising page and donate money online using your credit card. http://www.tabitha.org.au/cms/bishop-druitt-dec-2012
