Microsoft released their new Windows 8 operating system on, 26 Oct. Reckon are working on making future releases of Reckon software fully compatible with Windows 8 for customers moving to this new operating system. If you plan on upgrading to Windows 8, or are purchasing a new PC with it installed, it’s important to know that the current version of Reckon software may not be compatible. It is anticipated that compatible releases will be available as follows:
- QuickBooks Hosted – compatible now
- QuickBooks EasyStart, Accounting, Plus, Pro, Premier, Enterprise – the 2013/14 version due for release: May 2013
- Reckon Retail Point of Sale – the 2013/14 version due for release: May 2013
- ReckonAccounts Personal/Personal Plus/Home & Business (Previously Quicken) – the 2013 version release date: 1 November 2012
- Payroll Premier – To be advised
Eligible Reckon Advantage Members and Annual Licence customers will automatically receive the Windows 8 compatible version as soon as it becomes available. If you need to move to the new Windows 8 operating system prior to the release of a compatible product, while Reckon cannot offer full support, their customer service team will endeavour to help where possible.
